I like the Buckeye Spot Remover in 1/8th for my river. Works great on hook-ups and dont snag much. I just use the one with the screw lock. I use trick and finesse worms with them.

It amazes me at the people that I witness at our lake, taking so long backing in a boat or putting it on trailer. 99% time they have trailers in water too far. I love it when they are doing this and finally I get my turn and I just back in run jump on boat and ease my boat up to trailer then the looks they give is like no other.

At least the lake is open. All the ramps at Ray Roberts are closed...probably for another month.

Oh Ken, I feel for you bud. But I do like your new boat, I just don’t like it a hundred thousand plus that well. Never been to Grapevine either, but even that high in the summer, I’m throwing a a c-rig on a hump or pond dam in 25’ to 35’ especially if I could see bait with those Garmins. Just saying… but what do I know? Better luck next time.

For me, sometimes it's hard to get motivated to fish in the summer after a great spring.

Don’t give up on this lake. Being my home lake, I too have had my glory days and not so much. I think the flood has the fish so scattered it’s hard to find them. Usually when the lake is up 3-5ft, it can be a great flipping bite. I’m pretty sure all boat ramps are closed with it being over 19ft now. Hopefully we can get to normal levels soon but in the meantime, off to Pineland for the best lakes in East Texas.

You should try going to Lake Arlington yeah it’s a dirty lake, but it is fishing really good right right now now..

When you trim the engine up, aren't you lifting the boat out of the water?(the opposite of down pressure)

I just sold my 2023 Bass Cat Caracal. It was the worst boat I’ve ever own. Loaded terrible and chine walked terrible. Bought a new Ikon and there isn’t a bass cat that could hold its jock strap. Rick Pearce is just a redneck designing boats.

Bought our Allison GSE from Key Pucket in 2013...Foot for foot Darris and the crew make the best boats on the water. 👍 BTW we live on Lake Erie in Western NYS, it was well worth the TX trip.

i'm beginning to believe that braid, at least for bass fishing, is completely unnecessary. i think that 25lb fluorocarbon is strong enough to pull any size bass out of any cover.

Mr. Ken, I'm desperately trying to find out more about the hole shot of the blazers. A good hole shot is at the top of my list of must haves on a boat. I'm very interested in a blazer. But I really need verification that can get on pad the way I want it to. I know this boat wasn't propped right. Did you try any other props? Please help me out with some more input on this subject. Is there any way in the world to contact the gentleman that demoed the boat with you?
